This dataset is part of the Global Early Adolescent Study (GEAS), an international initiative led by the Bloomberg School of Public Health at Johns Hopkins University and supported by the World Health Organization (WHO). In Chile, the study is implemented by the Public Health Center Program of the Faculty of Medical Sciences at Universidad de Santiago de Chile (USACH), in collaboration with the San Bernardo Health and Education Corporation (CORSABER). The purpose of the study is to understand the social, emotional, and health-related development of adolescents aged 10 to 14, in relation to their family, school, gender, and community experiences. To achieve this, data were collected through self-administered questionnaires applied to adolescents and their parents or guardians in educational institutions in the municipality of San Bernardo between 2021 and 2023. The dataset includes variables related to physical and mental health, interpersonal relationships, gender norms, family dynamics, school experiences, and exposure to risk and protective factors. Responses were recorded digitally using electronic tablets and are available in .csv format, along with data dictionaries, methodological documentation, and a reproducible Jupyter Notebook processing script. This anonymized dataset is intended for reuse in academic research, policy analysis, and public health studies. (2025-06-16)
